Location ideas

FI and I are thinking of a late october or November wedding next year. I know locations fill up VERY quickly for the fall and didn't know if anyone had any suggestions of locations in the Brandon/Riverview/ Lithia area.

I am looking into:
Cross Creek Ranch in Dover
The Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch

any other suggestions so I don't have such a limited choice.... I'm trying to work with a budget of 10k for the entire wedding (I'm planning on doing a lot of DIY to help stay in budget)

YEAH- I am getting married at Cross Creek Ranch in March. It is beautiful. Have you been there yet? If not look at my blog- I have a few pics and have WAY more if you want me to try to send you some. I didnt want to get married outside originally but I am a budget bride and this was one of the most cost effective places I found. Not sure how many people you are planning on- but I have 80 ppl, with food, place settings, decor, setup, breakdown, dj, cake, and wedding planner- for 10,000. that doesnt include the bed and breakfast on site for the night before the wedding- all my girls and I are staying there and that was another 650. It also doesnt include my dress, my photographer, real flower bouquets, favors, and alcohol. They dont include alcohol in any of their packages, you have to bring your own beer and wine, and they cant pour liquor- but you can have a liquor drink already mixed that they will serve, if that makes sense.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I am meeting with the wedding planner for the first time on Monday- so I can let you know how it goes.

I guess my point of writing all that info was that I wasnt able to find anywhere that I could have the ENTIRE package for under 10,000 ( with 80-100) people. Now if you have less people you can probably do it, but the number of people you are inviting def. makes the cost more!!

Look into Sisters Secret Garden in Valrico/Lithia. I dont think they have a website, but you should be able to google it and find a phone number, I think that place is cheaper than Cross Creek, but not NEAR as nice!!

and this is a littler futher out of your area, but Red Rose Inn in Plant City might work for you.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Our 2 families alone is 100 people (not inculding our bridal party) but that also includes 10 children and 4 infants. Do you know if they differentiate between the ages?

Im not sure if you are interested in this location, or the "type" of place but I am doing an afternoon reception at Chart House on Longboat Key. Our budget for EVERYTHING is $8000 ish. They do not charge you for renting out the space during the afternoon, and you have the whole place to yourself. All you pay for is per person, which the package we chose is $23 per person and for kids its $13.

I dont think they diferentiate between age. You just pay per the number of people you want to feed. So I guess technically you could tell them that you are having 100 people and if you had a few children that probably wouldnt matter.

You can bring in your own caterer and dj, so you might be able to find someone a little cheaper. The DJ that is included in our package is $600 I believe. and I am paying about 40 per person for food.

Email me or page me if you have any more questions. for some reason I cant get my "watching" thing to work.
  • My daughter got married at Sisters Secret Garden last weekend and it was, in a word, AMAZING. The owner and her staff went above and beyond to make my daughter’s wedding more than she could have ever wished for. They even single handedly avoided what could have been a huge disaster. We hired a photographer (not the one associated w\SSG) and early in the day we realized they were not going to show up. One call to Candy and they had a replacement within an hour. (the one that works with them on a regular basis) The replacement photographer actually shuffled people and schedules to ensure they were able to cover all of my daughter’s wedding from beginning to end. From the very start the staff at SSG was professional, accommodating and so friendly - we felt like we were with friends. There is so much to planning a wedding and it was so nice to know that everything was being handle in a timely, organized fashion. Candy and Jackie have an amazing attention to details from making us comfortable with the schedule to adding an additional touch to the decor.  The food was out of this world, one word “Loaded mashed potatoes”. The decorations tied the garden wedding theme all together and really made it look like a fairy tale wedding. I cannot say enough positive, wonderful things about SSG.  Regardless of your budget, please make them a “must see” on your list of possible wedding venues.
