FI and I spent the afternoon calling lots of people yesterday who we had not received an RSVP from (we were waiting on nearly half still). It was a bit frustrating that so many people just didnt bother to send it back, for no good reason but laziness. This morning I woke up to the BEST email! It was from a couple who are FI's friends.

While cleaning the kitchen, I swept out from under the fridge the RSVP that I thought J had sent last week. Apparently it had fallen off the fridge and both of us thought the other had gotten it to the mailbox. We know and understand that it is past RSVP time and that that is a really big deal when planning/preparing for a wedding. If it is still possible, we would love to attend your reception. Both of us are sadly unable to get out of work for the ceremony. However, we completely understand if we are unable to attend because we failed to send in our RSVP in time. Please let us know either way so we can plan accordingly.
We are sorry for being pains in the ass! Whether we are able to attend or not, we are truly excited for you two and send nothing but our best.

It seriously made me so happy to see that someone else understands how important RSVP's are! (Most of the people that I talked to were just like oh, yeah we just never got it dropped into the mailbox.) I thought it was so nice of her to email and let us know what had happened. Of course we are not uninviting them from coming! Anyhow...had to share that there are still some people out their who get the point of rsvping to weddings! Yay! I haven't actually met the girlfriend in this relationship but I like her already!
