walking down the aisle with mum

Hi Ladies,
I have a situation and I am looking for your advice.
My dad has never been in my life. My mom has always done everything for my sisters and I. She made the womane that I am today and I owe it all to her. She is my hero. I am geeting very emotional as I am writing. I don't have a brother and I really want my mom to walk down the aisle with me because she is the person that means the most to me. Is that odd? have you been to a wedding where mum walked with daughter instead of a male? Please share your experience

    I have never personally attended a wedding where the mother walked their daughter down the aisle.  However, your testimony is enough in its self to honor your mother in this special way....You're the bride...do what's your heart says do.  I hopes this helps.Smile

    I was in a wedding where the mom walked the daughter down the aisle.  I agree with the PP, do what's in your heart..the beautiful part of having a wedding is there are no rules...you are creating memories for a lifetime!!  Enjoy the journey:)!!!!!!!!

    I went to a wedding last May where the Bride's mom walked her down the aisle - I thought it was absolutely beautiful.  Plus most people at the wedding knew her story too and got it when they saw her mom walk her down.  I hope you follow what is in your heart and ask your mom to walk you down the aisle.  I'm sure this will make her cry - she knows you love her - but having her walk you down the aisle will show everyone how much you love her.

    You can have whoever you want walk you down the aisle.  I don't think it's odd at all.  If you feel strongly about this and your mother is obviously very important to you you should do what feels right for you.  I'm sure your mom will feel so happy and honored and what's important is to have someone who supports and loves you walk you that final mile.
