Called dibs on a certain part of the wedding? I have been including him in all the details and last night he said I am choosing the center pieces. So I said that I am choosing wedding invitations. He said fine.

Not really, Fi has said he will make sure groomsmen tuxes are taken care of. But we've discussed there colors and agree, every time we pass by a tux area in a store we look them over so while he makes final decision he's taking my input. I've included him in every decision the only one he doesn't seem to mind I decide on is floral arrangements lol

Nope. FI is going to be designing the invitations, but I will have input. He says he doesnt care about bouquets and centre pieces but when I am looking at pictures he will say what he does and does not like so I was able to get his opinion.

My FI wants to take control of the table numbers and seating cards. He wants to do something sports themed, which is fine by me. Let's see how long it takes him to actually get it done...

Mine has complete control over what the GM wear. And what he wears, of course. He went to the cake tasting/booking with me yesterday and we decided on the cake together. He gives me his opinion if I ask, but other than that he doesn't care. Other than the fact that he refused to get married by anyone who was not a Christian pastor or to do pre-marital counseling with anyone but a pastor (I'm not super religious, so I didn't really care who married us). That and that he wanted my hair down, which I wanted too.

We kind of decide on everything together.

Haha mine does the same thing I show him what I want, ask his opinion, then.take care of it myself so I know it gets done. Glad I am not the only one!

We pretty much have been doing everything together. Even though most of the time I think he just agrees with me because I like something lol He doesn't seem to care much either way as long as I like it.

FI is extremly into planning with me and has given his opion on everything. The only thing he wanted complete control of was what the men wear and he was adament about having limos.

I've forced him to be responsible for some small things- limo, tuxes, his woman of honor's outfit, and dealing with his family (that's like a huge job right there). He's the one who wanted the big traditional wedding thing, but he doesn't care about the details at all. I always run things by him, but he honestly doesn't care. I'm just as happy that way and my mom helps me with all the stuff he doesn't want to do.

Nope. P is super laid back and we have IDENTICAL views of what we want. We've done every single step together. He's not "overruled" me on anything, and I've not "overruled" him on anything. The only thing he will not have any hand in is the bridesmaid dress (I'm letting her choose it) and my dress.... though he's seen my mockup and loves it. LOL

I tell him or show him what I like and then he tells me what he thinks and based on what he thinks and what I think, a decision is made. Essentially every detail has gone like this and he is A-OK with it. The one detail he doesn't give a hoot about is the flowers, so I get free range with those, as long as I stay in budget. ;-)

My boss actually gave me a really good idea about wedding planning with FI and so I've implemented that into our planning. Basically I made a list of all of the things that needed planning--venue, food, DJ, flowers, attire, decor, photog, etc. I gave the list to FI and let him separate it into three piles, a "I don't care, decide without me" pile, a "I do somewhat care, narrow the choices down to a few and I will help you decide" pile, and a "I really care, let's do this together" pile. It's been really easy to work with because I look at my list and see which pile he chose and I know whether I need him to come with me to a meeting or just let him know I'm signing a contract for X on Y day and if he's not OK with what I chose, let me know.

Yea, FI picked our colors and wants full control of the Groomsmen and our ring bearer (our son). Everything else in his words 'its all yours baby, whatever you want'.

We have been working pretty seamlessly, with him giving input on colors, timing, etc., but mostly letting me decide. I did ask that he own the photography portion, as he used to be a photographer. And he's also designing all of our stationary and the website (he's a developer), so that's more of something that he's leading with my input.
