Ceremony Music

I'm going back and forth on having live musicians for pre-ceremony and for the actual wedding.  Thoughts/ Recs?  I have a $200 budget.  I love the thought of live music but might not be in the budget  :(

I found a pianist when I initially started looking for $200.  That would be very elegant I think.

Depends on what kind of music. When I was looking at Trio and Quartets they ranged from about $300 to about $700 for the ceremony

You could always check universities and see if any college students would be available to play.

I am using ARIA strings and for a trio was $375, but you might see if they can work with your $200 budget...or as stated before find a pianist or harpist.  Love Notes offers various music for your ceremony so check there too.  Here is a harpist I found online and sounds amazing...http://www.aharpist.com/ not sure what she charges, but it may be within your budget.

For $200, you are most likely looking at a soloist--harpist, pianist, etc.  But either would be lovely--I considered a harpist for my wedding.

I know students get suggested on here alot--but we found they weren't any cheaper.

I booked a harpist for my wedding and she charges $300.  I didn't find anyone less than that, as they all seem to be in the $300 range.

I am actually looking into the same thing.  I've found pianists and organists for $200, but the least expensive String trio/quartet is $350.  A harpist was suggested for $200?  Does anyone know any specifics or have any suggestions?  I could probably google, but I tend to like you ladies' recs.

I love the piano suggestion but we're getting married outside at The Filter Building so a piano probably isn't possible.

I'll look into the harpist mention above.  Thanks!

Has anyone used a solo guitar?  I got a brochure at the Bridal Show that offered it, but not sure if it would sound good or empty in the outdoors.

    Thanks Ladies.
