Catholic brides.. Friday??

Is someone getting married at a catholic church on Friday evening? I want to do it but don't know if its possible since all web pages say: "weddings are held on Saturday"

do you know what church?... Do you know if she requested this date and time or was it offered to her?

it probably varies in every church. I think it probably depends on if there is anything going on that friday which will depend if they are able to have your ceremony that day

    St Anne's Catholic Church.
They have good reviews too, a little strict I've heard. The wedding coordinator's name is Joan, 713.526.3276

I think you have to be a member at St Anne's for 6 months prior to even booking your wedding there - as with a lot of Catholic churches. The church we got married I we did not have to be a member, but they only have 1 wedding a Saturday there, none on Fridays or Sundays...Every church rules are different, good luck!

Eboix- first of all, that picture of the cat makes me laugh. A lot.

To the OP: I'm Catholic, and getting married on a Friday at a Catholic church in Austin. FI and I have known the priest there for years, and while you do have to go through all the marriage prep work beforehand, they definitely do Friday weddings and aren't strict about that. Our ceremony starts at 7pm.

We got caught with a Saturday gap as well (I assume that's why you're asking).

it does depend on the church. The church we're getting married in only does Saturday weddings. I personally think that if you found a church willing to do a Friday wedding, go for it!

My church in Katy is allowing a Friday, the only thing is it is during Lent so the ceremony is starting at 3. Good luck!

Thanks!. What church in Katy? Do you have to be a member? I would like to have the reception at agave road and would like to get married at a church close to the reception site.

I've seen it done on Fridays as well.  It does depend on the church and whether or not you want a full mass.  It also sometimes depends on the officiant.  You just have to call and ask.  I'm not sure about membership requirements, but I think Epiphany of the Lord may do it.
