Walking down the aisle

I haven't been to enough weddings to really pay attention, but does everyone walk down the aisle to the same song?  Or does the bride have a separate song?  I guess what does the majority do?

I too have a question about this. We want to walk down the aisle to the cyndi lauper/Sarah mclachlan version of time after time but I don't think I've ever seen anyone use a song with vocals. Is that a big no no? HELP!!!

The weddings I"ve been to always have the bride walking to a different song....maybe to set her apart for her entrance apart from the rest of the attendants. I will have a different song than the rest of the wedding party (still trying to find something for them that flows with the song I"m using for my march). @flr, I responded to your other post about songs with vocals.

I say, "separate song"; first of all, the day is about you as a couple, so it gives a personal touch if a specially chosen song is played (or sung!) as the bride goes to meet the groom. And for another, it helps clueless wedding-goers know when to pay attention and stand. NO insult intended- before playing for weddings and attending 1,000,000 of them, I was one of those guests.

@dramatic, I posted specifically to your original post :)
