Hotel Blocks

I found out this past week that this local annual horse show is the same week as our wedding! Luckily, I was able to book 30 rooms at the one hotel we really wanted everyone to stay at, but now I'm trying to find others and its such a pain!

We wanted everyone to stay at the one hotel because we are shuttling people to and from there to the reception. I'd consider having the shuttle pick up at other hotels but I can only get 10-12 rooms at the other hotels. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking that at least 100 people will want to stay the night. I suppose the 30 room block will cover about 60 people so maybe I just need to encourage people to share rooms as much as possible?

I guess I'd have a second hotel just in case. And of course note them both in your invites and wedding website if you're creating one.

I hadn't even thought of blocking out hotel rooms this early! Anywho, you should try and block out some more at near by hotels. I think it's best not to try to get people to share rooms, although I wouldn't be surprised if a handful do.

I found a place closeby to block 20 rooms so we should be just about set with 50 rooms total! well hopefully!

Wow, we dont have that many coming from out of town, so what we did and it was huge cost savings as I am on a strict budget, we have reserved executive houses, fully furnished and it will be more like home and a vacation than just coming for a wedding.
