My FI and I were looking at roses the other day to try and figure out what kind of color scheme we wanted to go with for the wedding. He absolutely fell in love with these light purple one's that I'm having trouble matching with... anything. I figured I could add a cream color type of rose that would look pretty good but I was also kind of trying to figure out if there was a brighter color that would look good with them.
Basically, I'm stuck. I've never been good at this matching thing. Any color palatte help would be appreciated. lol
These are the roses he picked. Just for reference.
Re: I'm horrible at matching!
Puple is like black and white (IMO); you just can't go wrong with it!
You don't need to "match" anything else to the color flowers. Actually, it looks better if you use combinations, and not "matchy matchy". Look on line for a color wheel, with various hues of each color, and an explanation of how to use it.

For example, complimentary colors are direct opposites on the color wheel, like yellow and purple, green and red, or blue and orange. A "triad" would be a triangle of 3 colors, like purple, orange and green, or blue, yellow, and red.
Monochromatic colors would be using several hues of the same color, like cream, pale yellow, and gold. Analgous colors are several colors next to each other on the color wheel, like green, yellow and yellow-orange, or blue, turquoise, and green.
I do a lot of flower arrangements and have come to really appreciate purples. They tend to go surprisingly well with almost any other color, and seem to tie everything together. I've even seen an antique lavender color in fall flowers with rich, vibrant jewel tones and it looked great.
I really like orange with purple, in almost any hue, from deep purple and rusty-orange, to pale lavender and palest peach. I could easily see those pale purple roses with a very pale peachy-pink, and off white.
Appreciate the advice. Very thorough.
