The weekend is right around the corner -- what do you have to brag about today?

My FI and I have been getting a ton of wedding stuff done lately. We did our Pre-Cana last weekend, booked our hotel blocks, and figured out a bunch a little details this week. I checked about five things off my impossibly long checklist which is amazing, AND FI happens to be traveling this week which makes it even that much more amazing to me that he did all his stuff from the road!

Plus I figured out my outfit for our engagement session (purple shirt, grey sweater, jeans, and black boots).

And I did major cleaning last night and did tons of laundry so I'm back at a manageable place. Which feels amazing. It's a good week!

I've been keeping up a clean house, which was impossible when FI was at home during the night. It's nice to come down to the same neatness I left the night before

.

Even better is that FI took off the entire weekend (13 straight days is getting to be a bit much, and I don't blame him!). Two straight days together - that hasn't happened in months and I'm so so so excited!

I finally got to spend a ton of time with my little Lilli this past weekend! (my niece) She is such a happy baby it melts my heart.

WR: I finally picked out my invites and basically stayed in budget!

I had a consultation with a cardiologist yesterday for my son and I am very very happy to report he has no heart problems!! Not even an innocent murmur I am so relieved! One of the peditricians that is in the clinic we go to thought he might have heard something but all of his tests came back perfect!

We received our invitations/reply cards/stickers from Vistaprint in the mail yesterday and they look fantastic!!! I'm sooooo excited!

<div>OMG - Can I borrow your fiance's energy and give it to mine? He is a slow mover, wants to interview everyone and their brother for vendors, etc. I've asked him to do a couple things and he has yet to do them. This is pretty much a one woman show for me.</div><div>

I've also been very productive - I'm so busy with wedding planning, general chores, baby adoption and planning to sell our house I hired a college student to come on Saturday mornings and do a bunch of chores. This frees me up to do stuff that I have to do. Last weekend while she cleaned the kitchen floor, the pantry, the utility room, the rec room and the cat litter, I cleaned out my file cabinet, prepped the bathroom for painting, went through a paper pile, did some laundry, cleaned the bunny litter and cage and wiped down a set of windows that had been bugging me for ages. Whew! This weekend we're going to a daytime wedding Saturday, so a break from chores.

<div>Yeah, I'm pretty lucky with my FI. At the beginning he was a pain in the butt and a bit of a groomzilla but we had a nice long chat about it all and he realized that we don't have to have the 100% traditional wedding and that some things are just more important than others. Ever since then, he's been fully committed to making plans and finding stuff that works for us. He knows that he's the one who wanted the bigger and more traditional wedding and it wasn't really fair to ask me to do all the planning for a big party I didn't really want in the first place. On my end, I don't care as much about the smaller details but if he wants to put in the effort, then I'm not going to rain on his parade as long as it doesn't affect the budget (so he had to cut some things for others).</div><div>
</div><div>He basically takes over what I don't feel like doing and gets it done. We're both pretty laid back people and tend to have a "let's get this done!' attitude so we've gotten so much accomplished in bursts. Now we don't have to really do any hard core planning for another few months so we can relax and enjoy the fall - our busiest time of year because of birthdays and family functions.</div><div>

Nothing really wedding related. But I have a wonderful FI who just brought my son his one big Christmas wish. A Wii. I can't wait to see my sons face on Christmas morning. Just wanted to share how amazing he is.

Nothing wedding realted. My FI has a big presentation in Chicago so we will be there. He has a few meetings so while he's in his meetings he got me a full spa day I'm too excited!!!

I am getting frustrtaed with my venue contact - I am still waiting for my website for my hotel block --- last week was told I could get in Wednesday - sent off an e-mail and she is out of the office until Monday ! didn't leave it to anyone else to do and always seems to be out of the office when i need something from them..

Just saw that the price of stamps is going up in January !!! So going to start buying forever wedding stamps soon a few sheets at a time - since I am going to need tons of them

Fi is coming up to my house this weekend and hopefully will be aking the other GM so we know for sure we have 3/3 and then discuss if he has other people he wants in...

NWR I am hoping to get to the state fair sunday ...
because I am not sure he will be up here again to go with my son and I before the fair is over
