Ebay Wedding Dresses

Has anyone purchased any of the Ebay wedding dresses? I was looking at one of the Alfred Angelo "china made" dress and the seller had 100% postive reviews. Has anyone gotten one? If so, what was your review? Would you do it again? For the amount they are selling them for, do you think it would be a real lost to try? Plus they do have a return policy of 7 days. What do you think?

Re: Ebay Wedding Dresses

  • I wouldn't but I'd never do it. I however am traditional and believe in trying on dresses for that feeling. A feeling I never could get from online shopping. However they are cheap so I guess it's worth a try. Just consider that yeah they have a 7 day return policy but it takes longer than 7 days to get mail to or from China to the US
  • There are several websites that are similar companies.  They take a picture of a designer gown and make it for like $300.  It is a risk, but what I have heard about those websites it that the material is cheap, and it won't actually look exactly like the designer gown.

I would also read the return policy carefully as there could be some fine print.

  • Thats kinda like the website i posted about a few days ago. Im torn. It would def be risky. I tried on dresses on mon, and there is ALOT to consider when dress shopping. Gowns i thought would fit me beautifully, were hideous and viseversa. Not really something to shop for with out being able to try it on first :(

  • Plus there are so many girls selling their never worn/worn once and professionally cleaned dresses on the knot classifieds or on recycled bride...
At least you know its going to be good quality.

  • I bought my dress off ebay from a dress shop cleaning out their inventory. Brand new, Casablanca gown and I talked her down and I only paid $105 (that's including shipping) and it fits me perfectly. My friend who got married last year bought her dress from online as well and it was from China which is a lot cheaper. Her dress came in a tiny box (dont know how it fit, looked like a brick) but she took it out and it wasn't even wrinkled. It was so inexpensive and looked like the real thing.
