Re: Whose Attending?

I haven't heard of it.  What is it?

It's a wedding planning workshop....my planner is hosting it @ The Brides Lounge. From what she has told me it's a workshop for brides either unable to hire a planner or DIY. Check it out here.. I know they have a few select vendors to answer questions and give presentaions on how plan your wedding within your budget. I believe they're doing personalized budget breakdowns.

I guess I don't understand why I would pay $75.00 for something that the bridal lounge does for free... help you work out your budget, and put yopu in touch with their selected vendors. Not trying to be snarky / diss the event - it sounds informative, but I guess I just dont see what it offers above and beyond the complementary bridal lounge services?

I hear the Bride's Lounge does get you in touch with vendors and allow you to come in and do research. The workshop is so much more than that though.

Just to clarify (for anyone else that reads this) - the bridal lounge does WAY more than just function as a space to do research! They basically function as free wedding planners - it's awesome!

I actually went by the bride's lounge the other day - they spent two hours with me formulating a budget break down and gave me options of vendors that fit those numbers. After discussing my options and deciding on who I would like to meet with, they then contacted those vendors for me, and set up meeting times for me with them (at the bridal lounge). Pretty awesome!

Anyway, I read the site more closely, and it sounds like a fun day (cake tastings & mini-makeovers) but as the information is all things they dispense free of charge, maybe not worth the $75, IMO.

If I was close I would attend only because my planner is hosting it, I've been watching the blog and it seems like it's going to be awesome. For those thinking about going, the price went down to $55.00 and you can bring someone else for free.
