Cakes- CLT, RH, FM

So- I don't even have a venue yet but I am wondering about my cake... lol.

Any ladies in the Rock Hill, Charlotte area:  Where did you get your cake from? Were the prices $, $$, $$$, or $$$$?? Were you happy with it after your day??

I'm getting my cake from Cake Lady Jill in Charlotte. She charges around 4.50-5.00 per person. You may want to wait until you have your venue picked out because a lot of them have a list of preferred vendors that they want you to use or they want you to purchase your cake through them.

I booked my package through my venue for my wedding cake (and I've seen good reviews from girls who married at the Victorian Villa Inn for them at Suarez Bakery, but I personally know nothing about them).

I have booked my groom's cake through The Icing and The Cake in Mooresville, NC (about 15-20 miles north of Charlotte) and the ladies there are awesome, as are the cakes.  They were extremely willing to work in my budget.  Granted, I haven't seen it yet but what we are planning on sounds great.

I'm also using Cake Lady Jill- had her cake at 2 other weddings this season as well, so yummy! We're actually doing our main layer as a chocolate cake, it was incredible!!

I used Gail at Cheesecake Etc. Her cake was AMAZING! She was so easy to work with, even when we re-designed our cake about 3 times. I believe we were charged $4.25 per slice.

Hello, I am on the outter limits of Charlotte, and I booked my cake with a Lady who has been in business for years. She makes awesome cakes, and she does them from her home. But her home is well kept up and she is very professional, she does this as a hobby, and the cakes are delicious (and I'm not a cake person). She is in Concord, NC and the name of her business is SweetLife Cakes. the website is SweetLifeNC.com. She gave me a quote of $200 for a 3 tier (theme of the cake is gift boxes with pretty aqua bows all over it). She does deliver but it is a small fee, she does charge for the cake tasting ($40) but it goes towards your total price that she quotes you. I Absolutely love her work and she does cakes for all occassions- my FI & I have decided to use her in the future for our children and other events taken place later on... Good Luck
