  I feel you SO MUCH on the venue frustration. Thank God I'm not alone. I've been engaged almost 11 months now and I don't have a venue or a date! For some reason, I feel like most venues I talk to or look at are just not quite right. I did go to the T-Plex for a tour with Pat, and I loved it, and for a long time I was convinced that I had to have it. But the past three months of back and forth conversation with Pat, e-mails to various board members there (who will make the decision of whether or not they'll have weddings in 2013), and general unresponsiveness, I've grown frustrated to the point of giving up. I do know that Friday 4/20 (tomorrow), the T-Plex executive board will hold a closed meeting to discuss the wedding issue and decide on it once and for all for 2013, but in my heart, I have already moved on. At this point, I am almost certain I'm going with Silver Shores Waterfront in Wyandotte. Tonight I had a heart to heart with FI, and we think Silver Shores is the place. Annnnnd... they're free on the date I like (which I suddenly decided is November 10, 2012) plus it's the off-season discount, so I think I might be ready to finally get this show on the road! Thank God!

We also found out that if youre planning a fall wedding on a weekend you should just stay out of Ann Arbor due to the football games and the hotel prices severly inflating. On game days ,most of these places raise their rates , including Vinology. SO then we nixed AA . Flat 151, good luck getting a call back . I can tell you though if 4 k is out of your budget, flat 151 is not happening!! I called them and WEEKS later after I tried several numbers (the number that worked was provided to me by holiday catering I think ) This chick goes,  the rental fee is 12k minimum. I said , WHAT? minimum ? I had read online that it went anywhere from 1500-4000 (article on yahoo with the owner) She said that was incorrect and that MINIMUM was before drinks and food. I Said wait you do food? LOL She said no, but we do provide drinks and you have to hit 12k before rentals, food, etc. UM WTF? From there on we tried hotels, Shearton Novi/ Ann Arbor (my choice even though we didnt go with it. They were reasonable and a nice room ) Ann Arbor Marriot ($$$) Double Tree Novi (ugly room) Crowne Plaza Novi (didnt like the hotel atmosphere) I feel like im so overwhelmed on venues I could puke!! LOL Hope this gives you more ideas.

  I just spoke with flat151 2 days ago and she said the minimum spend is $30,000 plus you have to use their vendors.
