So I thought it would be fun if we could all explain our siggy choices as a fun way to get to know each others style/theme/ect.

Cake isn't something I'm too concerned about to tell you the truth.  I just want it to be pretty and go with our theme which is romantic....I've slowly brought pearls into the mix and kinda faded out lace so I've been on a pearl kick lately and I LOVE it!

    The cake isn't a huge deal to me either. I'm more excited about it being a confetti cake than what it looks like. But I found this picture and we both agreed that it was beautiful and simple like we wanted. And we're going to have a few hidden Mickeys in the piping to keep with our Disney vibe. :)

    We wanted something romantic as well.  Also something simple yet elegant.  The cake below is one of several we really liked so we are hoping to meet with the baker and come up with something we love!

    I'm not super pumped about the cake either as long as we use the Willow Tree "The Promise" cake topper that the FI got me for Christmas last year.  Besides, we're having cookies and brownies at the reception too.

    I dont care about the cake so much, that we are having a fake cake!!! Only the top layer will be real (which we will freeze) and the middle layer (which we will cut into) then the last layer will be fake.

    I want our cake to be simple, clean lines and minimal flowers. I like the siggy pic I have, but maybe with navy lines instead of silver and anemones as the flowers.

    I just want our cake to taste good.  The cake comes with the reception venue, so I'm not even looking at pictures of cakes until we meet with the wedding planner from the venue to discuss.  But I'm getting hungry looking at all these cake pictures!  Yum!

    Our reception Venue has an amazing baker on staff.  We are doing our cake through them, it will go towards our minimum for the room.  The price was lower than expected, especially for such high quality. 
    We wanted to keep with the fall theme and stay simple.  We are more worried about the taste then the extravagant look.

    No cake! This bride is going the dessert bar route.  :)

    Neither of us are cake people. We are planning to have a selection of tarts, cookies, mini pies, and parfaits. Oh, and for a late night snack I think we are going to do cider and donuts. Tis the season, after all.  :D

    I'm looking forward to my cake! We get a cake from a great local bakery included in the venue cost. (Altough that also means I don't get to use my mom's friend's bakery. She makes the BEST cakes, and has made most of my special occasion cakes for as long as I remember)

    I like the classic look and simplemess of this cake. I think I'd use orange flowers to tie in our colors.

    We are having mini cakes!!! I am super excited about this!! My FMIL is making them for us for the wedding!! And then we are going to do a small cake so we can take the top tier home to freeze for our 1 year anniversary!

    Our cake is also included with the cost of the reception venue.  I'm imagining a three tiered cake covered in lovely organic-shaped buttercream with fresh flowers that compliment our colors.  Beautifully simple :)

    I'm thinking we could use 2 sheet cakes and a 2 tier cake. We want to have different flavors. FI is stuck on red velvet but I want some vanilla and chocolate and we need to have something vegan. This way we get to have it all.

    Can someone tell me how to post a pic in your sig? All I see is a place for text. I tried copy and pasting; I tried dragging. I don't see a place to save photos to your sig. Thanks for help!

    I am really excited about our cake because I designed it myself. I drew the picture in my Siggy using Adobe Illustrator. We may decide to do different flavors for the different layers, but I know I want at least one to be white chocolate with raspberry filling. YUM! :)

    I want a cake that is similar to the one my mom made for my best friends wedding. It is a creamy sponge cake, with raspberry and vanilla cream filling, topped with marsipan. Yummy. For the midnight dessert buffet we are going with a chocolate fountain and fruit- the venue we are having the wedding at has a chef that specialises in cutting out these amazing fruit figures so I think that is gonna look great and taste yummy!
