my FI is having a lot of feelings A LOT! he left a place where he instantly fell in love with. a place where he felt purpose and he was transformed there. a place where he was in leadership and able to help (mentor) tons of teenage boys. and he is leaving it all behind.
so he is sad. it upset me yesterday because i am sooooo excited to see him and to have him home.
FI is not having those same excited feelings at the moment. it made me feel a little rejected and i got very very hurt. now today (the day he is coming home) the ONLY thing he has said to me was "We will talk when i get home!" and thats it.

    i am just freaking out.

I wish I had advice! Hugs coming your way. Just try to remember that he IS excited to see you but he probably is feeling so many emotions that he doesn't know how to deal with them all. Do your best to be positive and supportive, even if you feel slightly rejected. I'm sure he will feel better soon, especially when he sees you! Still praying!

It's definitely hard!! You're so excited but he's bummed. It stinks! Just pray your butt off for strength! He loves you-- don't forget it!

i was starting to have doubts about the wedding and everything.

    i am praying for strength.

I'll pray for you!  I am sorry.  Sometimes it is really hard coming back from a place that you loved even if it is to someone you loved.  It isn't that you aren't excited to see them, but you have all these conflicting feelings.  Often times sadness overwhelms you.  Don't worry he loves you, he is just confused.

    Monica,

I am praying for you! I am sure by now you are so happy and having fun with him! PP's are right- he WAS transformed there and I'm sure it is hard to leave that,  but I know he is so excited to see you. Let us know what happens... And know that God loves you and HE has a plan for you both- trust in Him.

    Monica,

I'm praying for you.  Try not to get yourself worked up...maybe he just wants to talk and see how you'd feel about moving.  Or hell, maybe he bought you a pony.  Don't assume the worst!!

Sorry I'm just seeing this.  I avoid the computer at night.  I hope all went smoothly with the reunion and you are feeling better.

Satan likes to put those little things in your mind to rob you of your joy.  Don't let him have the satisfaction.  Consider how you feel when you minister to people- it's hard to let go of that awesome feeling you have, but God always opens up another opportunity to serve. While the transition is hard and leaving people you care about is never easy, know he loves you and is THRILLED to be back with you.

Sorry, I'm just seeing this now as well since I don't usually knot at night. I hope everything went well, and I'll be praying that he makes a smooth transition living back at home and that God will lead you guys in the right direction now that he's done with school. Keep us updated!

thanks everyone again for the prayers and encouragement.
it is taking my FI a little time to adjust and to picture what his life will be like now. (he was going from non-stop ministry to none right now) but i trust God and know that we love eachother.
