  Sorry, but I need the option for "No thanks". I'm really not a fan of latkes, but if I do end up eating one, it'll be smothered in applesauce.

  I like applesauce with traditional potato latkes and sour cream (actually yogurt cream) with the delicous sweet potato-curried latkes I love to make.

  Sugar? ketchup? Sour Cream? These things aren't even options for our latkes, lol. My family only ever puts apple sauce out so for the longest time (until college) I thought that it was the only thing to go on latkes, lol.

  was very happy to see sugar as an option! my friends think i'm nuts. I think the sugar is a Litvak thing - my dad has always put sugar (or applesauce) on his & his family are Russian/Litvak. anyone ever had caviar on them? it isn't that bad! tried it a few years ago at my friends' parents house. They're from the former Soviet Union.
