Gluten-free wedding cake

I'm gluten-free which means no wheat flour or any other type of enriched bleached/unbleached flour. Therefore, I am having a hard time finding a reasonably priced bakery that sells gluten-free cakes. Would anyone know of a good bakery in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area? Thanks! :)

There's a bakery called Virago Baking Company, but it's in Lansdale, Pa.  I don't know if that's too far for you.  I'm not sure of how expensive a big cake would be.  I've had a lot of their products, and they are delicious!  The website is www.viragobakingcompany.com

Have you looked at Sweet Freedom in Philly?  I don't know that they'd be reasonably priced or do wedding cakes, but they have AWESOME stuff.  Also, Whole Foods catering is very easy to work with for gluten free catering, so it might be worth looking into whether their bakery could do something like that.  Finally, have you looked on the "Gluten Free Philly" website?  There's a list of bakeries in the area: http://www.glutenfreephilly.com/p/gluten-free-bakeries-caterers-and.html

Hope this helps!  And let me know what you end up with....FMIL is gluten free, so I'm always interested in finding new places to get dessert from.  And although we'll likely do a gluten-containing wedding cake, I'd love to have a gluten free option for her!

How about Whole Foods?  There are 2 locations in Philly, one on South Street and then one on Callow-Hill.  They have a great bakery and would be able to make it gluten free.

I am also gluten free and I had luck for a gluten free bridal shower cake at The Little Bakery in Blue Bell PA.  He only does g-free so there is no worrying about flour dust in the air.

He as EXTREMELY reasonable.  I've called Virago and a few others who wanted $175+ for a 2 teir cake.

Here is his website.  He was really great to work with.
