Venues

My wedding is a year away so I have quite a bit of time.  Does anyone have any suggestions for venues? We live in Glendora but anything in So Cal is worth taking a look at, beach locations, old homes....anything at this point.  We just need some ideas.

    Hi! I'm in Glendora too:D

Well as for venues you need to search right away- usually people book their venues a year out. DH and I booked it 9 months away.

These are the venues I went to and liked:

The Castaway (Where we got married)- Burbank
The Ebell Club- Long Beach (pretty venue but location was not pretty)
Cheesecake Factory- Redondo Beach ( was nice w/ ocean view but low ceilings)
Portofino Hotel (very pretty w/ ocean view but pricey) plates starting from 90-100
Calamigos Ranch- Malibu (beautiful but pricey)
    Seven Degrees- Laguna beach
Christmas House B&B- Rancho Cucamonga (if you're into vintage its for you and very reasonable prices)

Again..these are only some of the venues I've visited...I know there's more but can't remember. Good Luck!

It might help to have a little bit of an idea of how many guests you want, as well as an idea of what your budget is (at least a ballpark).
I was just reminiscing about our visit to The Victorian (in Santa Monica) a little over a year ago. We went although I was pretty sure they were out of our budget. After that, thinking about having our wedding anywhere else made me sad. Thankfully everything worked out for us and I would highly recommend them. =)
