Help needed: pricing for wedding day hair styling

Hey all!  I am in need of some help.  I made hair appointments for the day of my wedding at Shear Talent in Bethel Park.  I was quoted $60-$65 per person for the styling, and they require a $20 deposit per person.  This seemed very expensive to me.  So I am wondering, is this an average price for the area?  Do I need to adjust my expectations?  Or is it worth it to shop around?  And if anyone has recommendations for salons in the South Hills (preferably the Bethel Park/South Park area) that are more reasonably priced, please throw them my way!

Oh, and I'm definitely not requiring my girls to get their hair done, but they were all really looking forward to it but at that price some may need to back out.  I'm just trying to provide everyone with an affordable option!

Thanks!!

$60-65 sounds about right to me, for Pittsburgh at least.  I'm using Monica Kitta and she's about $40 for an updo - she comes to you.  Pretty Hair Salon and other recommended people were around the same price range you are looking, or higher.

I used Brooke Rockwell, she traveled to my hotel. It was $60/per girl.

We'll be going to Cuts and Creations on South Park Road in Bethel Park. Denise is the owner and has been doing my hair since I was a little girl. I went there for all of the high school dances and I actually still get my hair cut there. I don't think I've ever paid more than $40 or $45 for anything. Needless to say, I highly recommend them.

I go to a Paul Mitchell Salon in Uniontown and she only charges me $60 and thats for double highlights and a cut so im sure that a wedding hairstyle would be really cheap.

Check em out on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/serenitysalon.paulmitchell?ref=ts

And she will give you a very affordable price quote

Thanks for the suggestions all!  I'm glad to know that not everywhere is that expensive.  I'm very intrigued by these stylists that will come to you, going to have to check into that more!

We had Pretty Hair Salon come to us and it was $100 for both hair and make up.  Totally worth it since they came to us and you only have to give them your CC to hold incase you decide to cancel very last minute then they charge you $100.
