Way Too Much Time!! (Invite Vent)

Sooooo….I planned on doing my invites this afternoon, and taking them to the post office before picking up my son from school (at 4pm).  I was so happy.  I had a plan.  7 ½ hours later I was finally finished (8:30pm), and dropped them off in the post office after hours drop box.  They took me waaaaay longer than I thought they would.

 

Granted, there were 185 invitations, and I had to do vellum bands, stamps, etc. …but really???  It took me longer to do the invitations than the amount of time our reception is going to last!  I guess that's what I get for doing them myself.  /vent - back to being happy 

Yay! I got my invites out.  LOL

    It took me about 5 hours to print all of the envelopes on my computer, I didn't think it would take that long, but I had 70 invitations, I could not imagine double that!

    I have no idea how long it actually took me to do mine, because I did them over a period of time.  I wouldn't be surprised if all the hours added up to that much...which is ridiculous! lol  Congrats on getting them all done :)

    I'm up to that amount of time, and that's just putting the damn pocket folds together! Uhg. My own fault for making my own pocket folds and making a difficult design. Oh well. I've been unemployed for the last month so I've been doing a little at a time so it wasn't so bad, heh. But I will be so glad when they are all done and I can pop them in the mail! :)

    It took me way longer than I thought it would to do mine as well! Luckily I had some help from my mom & BMs, but it still took a while! Congrats on getting them finished though, it's such a relief :)

    it took me WAY longer too!  it doesn't seem like it should take that long to get invitations ready to mail!

    we should put that on our 'list of things to be aware of' for the may 2013 knotties or something :-P
