  I've seen the posts in previous threads recommending Angie and Estee, but they are solidly booked and my wedding is September 15th. I need quality, timely, and responsible options for alternations, and preferably not too far away from Arlington, VA.

  Check out Kimlys Alterations in No VA, she is the best, good pricing and available weekends and evenings.  She is insured, as this is her business and do not work out of her home -- so she won't disappear overnight as happened to me a long time ago.

  You should check out Green and Blue in Dupont Circle.  They altered my dress, and I was pleased with the results.  They can also do rush orders for brides needing their dresses for less than 2 weeks.

  Ellie's Bridal Boutique in Alexandria I know does alterations on gowns not purchased from there.
