Does anyone else truly get freaked out at the thought of walking down the aisle?

One week to go! There are a ton of things I could be worrying about right now, but the one thing that keeps freaking me out is that walk down the aisle.

Every time I think about it, I get serious butterflies in my stomach, and it's getting worse the closer I get! Does anyone else feel this way? Married ladies, is it really that bad? I don't even know why this terrifies me, all I have to do is walk...

I was really freaked out about the walking down the aisle (well more scared about tripping down the aisle) and standing in front of a bunch of people.

Actually walking that day, I was so freaking happy to see our family/friends and then H it didn't even cross my mind. Its actually very obvious, in my pictures I have this HUGE grin on my face.

Right now I'm not freaking but as it's get closer I might. But were having a small ceremony so I shouldn't' be nervous cause it will probably just be our family and a few close friends. Also it's a small chapel so it won't seem to intimating but I can see how a huge church with a long walk can be. Just remember what's waiting at the end of you walk.

Ugh, it's making me a little sick thinking about it. I'm not painfully shy, but I really don't like to be the center of attention. And actually, it's not so much the walk down the aisle as the first dance, cake cutting, etc. where everyone is paying attention to you. I wanted to cut the formal first dance altogether, but FI has his heart set on it, so he won't let me.

ditto Julie really....I HATE being the center of attention, seriously. I used to figure skate and that was fine but now a days I really hate it. I've been freaking out about the whole thing for several months now. I may have to do a shot before i head out to calm my nerves lol

I'm just freaked out that I'm going to turn into a sobbing mess. FI is very emotional and seriously gets choked up a little just when we talk about it. And I cannot handle it when he cries, it totally gets me. I also get a little teary just hearing my processional song. So I'm really not sure how I am going to make it down the aisle without ruining all my makeup.

utterly terrified. it gives me hives, all over my chest (which will make for some lovely pictures), just thinking about it. I absolutely do not like being the center of attention. it was hard enough at my shower with 20 people, I'm not sure yet how it's going to go with 200. I'm hoping that a couple of mimosas, and knowing that FI is waiting at the end of the aisle will be what I need.

Julie - I am the same way. I am shy & I hate being the middle of attention, which your going to be that whole day! I have actually prayed that I don't work myself into an axiety attack thinking about it on the day of. Im working on bringing up my inner Diva, who is going to strut right down that aisle all proud and confident!!

Oh Julie, the cake cutting a first dance terrify me too! I'm so nervous my hand is going to be shaking, and I won't even be able to cut the cake.

But at least for those things, FI (by then, DH!) will be there with me, which I hope will help. But for the aisle walk, all eyes will be on me!

Cristinald, my chest gets a weird looking rash when I get nervous too. I'm going to ask my make up artist to spray a little airbrush make up on my chest just for that reason!

OK...so I am glad it's not just me. I think I'll be fine the day of and I'm sure I'll get over it all and be okay. But thinking about it really makes my blood pressure rise and my stomach do a couple flips. FI is much more outgoing than me so I'm sure I'll just let him take the lead.

But you know how you always go to weddings and you're always like, "oh, I have to go say hi to the bride and groom." The thought that there are 250 people who are going to be thinking about us that way makes me queasy.

Oh, and I break out in hives too. And I turn beat red. Yippee.

I hate the center of attention thing, too! We walked down the aisle together and saw each other first, so I wasn't nervous at all. And quite frankly, most of the day all I saw was my husband, so the first dance & cake cutting didn't bother me. It's like we were in our own wedding bubble!

Oh I'm freaked. When I'm walking and I feel like someone is watching me I instantly start walking like a total dork. Like I've got something up my butt. It'll be so klassy...

This actually just hit me yesterday. I sweat sooo bad when I'm nervous and I just realized that my dress is charmeuse and that I will probably be sweating like a pig, that I will have sweat pit stains on my dress and that the dress will be stuck to my butt because I'll be sweating so much. Ugh. I then broke out in hives on my neck thinking about it. I'm a hot mess all around.

I was freaked out too. I'm very shy and I hate being the center of attention, so I really didn't know how that part would go...

BUT on the actual day of, it was nothing! It was exciting to see everyone and to see H for the first time that day. Honestly, I think that at that point, you'll be focused on other stuff and happy, not worrying about people looking at you.

jholbel-- I turn very red very easily too. I seriously think I have a problem because I blush so often and turn so red. I was worried that I'd be freakishly red all day long, but I was fine. Hopefully you will be too!

I am also terrified of being the center of attention but the actual walking down the aisle didn't bother me at all and all of the reception stuff didn't bother me at all. The worst part for me was standing there during the ceremony. I was shaking the entire time and I was praying the little flowers in my bouquet didn't give it away.
