Budget friendly outdoor venues?

Ok I've been given my budget... I have been very blessed in that my parents are paying for our wedding...with the agreement that if I come in under it fi and I can have the left over money for our honeymoon. Awesome right?!

So I'm trying to find some other options as far as venue because where I like is kind of high. I really like Vinewood in newnan and I'm going to look at their venue for the second time next week. I love the place! But I'm open to other ideas if I can save money. I want to get married outside. I really really do not want to get married insideit's just not me or fi. Does anyone know of places similaror not that is outside, kind of rusticno golf courses or country clubs. I'd rather an open field if given the choice. Anyone know of any places that are budget friendly? I'm an hr south of Atlanta and I don't want to be in atl and I don't want to drive more than an hr to the venue. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Budget friendly outdoor venues?

  • Crooked Pine Farms in Eatonton is AMAZING! not pricey! Check them out!
  • I'm getting married at The Hardeman-Sams House in Athens, GA (website doesn't really do it justice, but it's gorgeous). They have a really cute backyard garden you can get married in and you can have the whole place from Friday through Sunday morning for about half the cost of a lot of other venues. There are a lot of very affordable outdoor venues in Athens, if that isn't too far for your guests.
  • Vinewood and Dunaway are both very beautiful but both very expensive.  If you're in South Atlanta, I would look at Flat Creek Country Club and Whitewater Country Club (one of my friends just went there looking and they apparently have dropped their prices recently).  Flat Creek is doing a bridal show on Sunday so good time to see it.

If you're willing to travel a little like you said, I would look at The Garrett-Bullock House in Columbus.  My best friend got married there late last year and they do everything for you.  I was amazed how much their staff takes care of!  And she had 100 guests and it was only $8300 and that's for everything (wedding planner, catering, cake, dj, floral) with the exception of photography.  If I hadn't already picked my venue I would have had my wedding here!

    HOpe this helps!
  • Check out Vecoma at the Yellow River. Their packages are very reasonably priced.

  • Where near are you looking? Our place in Monroe is only $1400 rental total, and we are bringing our own vendors since we are caterers and know people in the business. It's the mcdaniel titchner house. Where are you looking? I've been planning for a while and I know a few places.
  • Crooked Pines Farm is located in Eatonton Georgia and is very affordable. They offer a package of $2,000 that includes accomodations for up to 150 people, linens, barn rental from 9am-midnight, use of the bridal parlor and an event coordinator. Is is one of the newest venues in Georgia and gives you a rustic theme wedding on a budget.
