So... I'm getting married in nine days, and life goes on. Obviously there's still work that needs to be done at my job, and there are still workouts to do (I workout like a crazy person all year long because I work at a Y), and people's birthdays, and friends to talk to, etc., etc.
The world does not stop for a wedding, so how come everyone keeps looking at me like I have five heads when I tell them I'm getting married next weekend? They all have one of two things to say:
1. "Wait... next weekend? You look really calm for someone who's getting married NEXT WEEKEND!"
2. "Are you even excited?"
Look, people... just because I'm not walking around with a perma-smile plastered on my face, wearing a shirt that says I'M A BRIDE LOOK AT ME PAY ATTENTION TO ME doesn't mean I'm not excited. And what is there to not be calm about at this point? Everything is done. It's just all very confusing to me, that's all. Apparently I'm not acting the way a bride is SUPPOSED to act.
