Is anyone going to the CT bridal show tomorrow?

I'm going to collect so much stuff!

I thought of a good system: getting red and blue dot stickers. For those vendors who I like, I"ll put a blue sticker on their materials. This way I can sort it when I get home.

Any other suggestions?

It's in Hartford at the Convention Center.

I'm going. My planner suggested I put things in my bag from vendors I like. The ones I don't I hand to my mom. I hope I remember.

I'll be there - very excited and hope to square away some of the vendors I need. An awesome idea that my mom did for me was she made a ton of labels with my Name, Address, Phone Number, Wedding Date, Venue Location and Email Address. Almost every vendor you speak to is going to ask you for that information, so it was hugeeee help to be able to peel the label off and stick it on their sheet- rather than re-write the same things over and over again. All of the vendors were very impressed too ;-)

Make sure to bring a tote bag to cary all the papers and things you'll get that day- it gets heavy!

I do like the idea of only putting the info I like in my bag and handing the other stuff to my mom or a bridesmaid so I dont get confused when I bring everything home.

Have fun tomorrow- I cant wait!

I went to that show last year and met lots of great vendors.. I don't think we ended up booking anyone from that show though. But I made mailing labels and that saved a ton of time. Also, bring a tote, some vendors provide bags, but they are sometimes on the smaller side and you end up carrying around a bunch of little bags instead of one big one. The stickers are a good idea too. I marked down the vendors i liked on a map that was provided.

Also, be wary, there are some vendors there that will hassle you constantly after the show. Not really so much the local people, but there were big companies there like Dinner for Two and a honeymoon company. I'm still getting phone calls from Dinner for Two! And I used a google voice number. So don't give your real number out unless you are serious about potentially using a vendor.

Definitely set up a bridal email so you don't have people bothering you. Not sure what to do about the phone- I only gave out my real phone number to vendors I talked to and liked.

I created a label and didn't include my phone number. LOVED the idea of setting up my own wedding email address too. It was a great show-- kinda crowded.. but yummy food to try. Need to go through the stuff now. Fun!
