Flower Costs?

Hi Everyone-
I'm starting to look into florists and am trying to get a better idea of what to expect with regard to costs.   We are having a rather large wedding (230 people) so we will need a lot of centerpieces, plus flowers for the wedding party and parents (approx 20 people total) as well as a chupah.  Just curious based on your experiences what I can expect to be quoted. I understand that many factors come into play (flower types, etc.)  Just tryin to get an estimate- we really don't know what a reasonable budget is b/c this is our first time looking into all of this.  Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Flowers are such a wild card.  Look at  your total budget for the wedding and assuming you have reception, dj etc booked, what is your comfort level with a floral budget.  Then get some pics and ask your florist what something like that would cost.

I went into my florist meetings not wanting to spend more than $25 per centerpiece and no more than $1k total.
When I finally found a florist I liked, we went through her books and found a centerpiece that I LOVED that was $40. She realistically told me that $25 was too inexpensive for what I wanted.  My whole floral cost was less than $1500 for 12 or 13 tables, 5 BM bouquets, 2 for me, 2 corsages, 8 bouts, aisle runner, bows for the pews and 2 ceremony arrangments.

Bat937, do you mind telling me what florist you used?
