Question about Kathryn's Bridal in McHenry

Hi Everyone,
Upon reading some past posts, I have seen some very good reviews for this shop, so I am definitely considering going there.  My question is, are they reasonably priced as well?  My budget for a dress will probably be around $1,000, if not less.  I have read about their wonderful customer service and selection of dresses.  Thanks in advance for your helpSmile

I will definitely recommend them.  I think they were very reasonably priced and you should be able to find many choices and stay under budget.  Something that helped me was I knew what designer I was wanting and saw on the designer's website that they were having a trunk show there.  I got my dress that weekend was able to save a % off of the dress (I want to say it was 15% but now I can't remember).

    Good luck!

My daughter purchased her dress, veil, and fascinator there.  The staff has always been helpful, courteous, and timely with appointments.  Their seamstress has been amazing! (Although the hours for that are fairly limited, so plan those appointments far in advance.)

My daughter wanted to stay under $1000 as well.  I believe their dresses started at about $450 and went up from there.  They had a great selection.  My daughter brought 3 or 4 of her bridesmaids along.  Each BM was "invited" by the consultant to select a dress they thought would look nice.  The staff was friendly, and patient.  We did not feel rushed at all.

I believe my daughter's dress was about $750.  Add in veil, additional fascinator, and alterations, and we were barely above $1000.  The dress and headpieces came in ahead of schedule.  Kathryn's "holds" the dress without any charge until we are ready to pick it up.

I would be surprised to find that your experience isn't just as nice!

PS......Be sure to stop at Windhill for pancakes!!  Worth the trip :-)

I loved them, although I did not actually by my dress from that shop. I also had a $1,000 budget. I found a dress that I loved but it was a little high. If you are willing to bend a little bit on the budget then you will love them. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

The dress selection is great, but I have to differ on the customer service. We had a few issues. The first was we paid my dress off before it came in, then when I went to try it on after it came in they told me I had a balance. They hadn't updated their system to show that I had paid it off.

We also dealt with a very rude consultant who flat out told me I was wrong and that the item I was trying to explain to her didn't exist. She didn't take the time to look or consult anyone else.
