January wedding/Venues

So I'm getting married this january, we just set the date. I've been looking at wedding venues but i can't seem to find one in my price range. I live in Florida and was looking in either orlando or tampa. My wedding budget for my whole wedding is 15,000 but all the venues ive looked at are way to expansive... any ideas (about 200 guests)

Also Is it ok to do spring colors in january?

you can do whatever colors you want! its your wedding! haha
As for venues, what about Lake Mary Event Center, Church Street Ballroom, Grand Bohemian (I think they may only hold 150 thought).
I know for church street ballroom the caterer is Puff n Stuff. They are doing my food and gave me an excellent price and the food is amazing!
    Good luck!

Mmm Lake Mary probably won't work if you're looking at a Saturday in January 2011, I can pretty much guarantee they're booked. But if you're flexible about Fri/Sun they may have some availability. I love LMEC! That's where I'm having my wedding.

Dubsread room in Winter Park has stuff starting at forty bucks a person.  You could also look at Casa feliz in Winter Park.

Casa Feliz would be great, but can only hold about 125, and that would be cramped.

And I think Dubsdread is 150.  =(  I didn't really check out many venues that had a "bring your own caterer" and they seem to be less pricey.. so I'm not really any help here.  =(  But I did want to say congrats and happy wedding planning!!!  =)

That sounds right about Dubsdread.  We love it, but if you have a high guest count and could fit all of them, you would likely have guests in two different rooms.

Holy Trinity Reception & Conference Center might be a good option that has a larger capacity.

Check out Maison & Jardin as well. You have to use their catering but the food is great.

Definitely check out the Rosen Plaza Hotel. Their packages include basic flowers and linen as well, and they are very reasonably priced. I know that the Rosen Centre Hotel also works with brides on a budget. www.RosenHotels.com
