I need help finding a venue!

I just saw crystal springs and fell in love. Unfortuneately they are out of our price range. Does anyone have any suggestions for cheaper alternatives? We are looking for something with beautiful outdoor views and a nice ballroom with large dancefloor. Thanks for all of your suggestions thus far.

Re: I need help finding a venue!

  • What is your budget and what part of NJ are you looking?
  • We are hoping to keep it under $100 per person and somewhat close to bergen county, but for the right venue and price we are willing to travel a little.
  • The Tides Estate is beautiful.
depending on how many people, what day and time you want to get married.
they might be in your price range.
    good luck

Under $100/pp before or after tax or gratuity? We're having our reception at the Graycliff in Moonachie, which is extremely affordable. We're playing $80/pp, which works out to about $103/pp with tax and tips. The ballroom and cocktail area space are gorgeous. Outside views aren't as fabulous, but it's got a pretty little gazebo/pond for pictures.

Ditto the Graycliff. We had an awesome wedding there. I can't say enough good things about them. I got all the add ons and extras and still paid only $125 after taxes and tips.

  • We got married at the Wilshire Grand in West Orange.  The place, food and staff were all amazing.  Our wedding was on a Friday in September and our price was $100/pp plus tax and gratuity.
  • im having my wedding next november at mayfair farms in west orange on a friday and after taxes it came out to just under $100 pp
  • From the research I've done before choosing, the Tides, Brownstone, Seasons, and Portabello's in Oakland should be around the price range - especially on a Saturday afternoon. Most of those should be at or under $100 with tax and tip.
