oh dear.

november 5 is coming up quick.

and i technically don't have a photographer booked. all the ones i am in love with are about twice my budget, booked, or in one case, getting the married the day after me! :(

i have one photog that i have been in contact with and i have the information from her, but i am just really not feeling it.  i haven't signed a contract so i am not bound to her... but i just keep thinking that her photos are nice, but not *amazing*

any suggestions??? my budget is $600, but i could probably stretch up to $800 max.  i am looking for someone who rocks the photojournalistic styles, i want all my images in disc, and am thinking 5 hours. november 5, 2010. in bradenton...

i have been scouring craigslist and still nothing.

thanks in advance ladies. i have my fingers crossed someone has a great idea........

    oh, and i just posted on craiglist as well, maybe i'll get some response... ringling college just started up and they are known for their artsy-ness and high standards...

    my friend is interning at a well known event planning company here in Tampa and while there she heard of an awesome website where you post what you need, (be specific), and then people bid on you... I used it and it was awesome. A couple of hours after I posted I'd already heard from 4-5 photographers that were in my budget. Hope this helps.

    get in touch with the art schools. im not too sure if they do it here in FL, but my fiance went to new england school of photography and i am pretty sure people call the school and tell them what kind of photo job they have and how much they will pay and the school sends out a mass email with all these wedding and job leads and the students reply to them if they want the job.

    Try Images by Augie. Not sure if they are booked, but I'm using them for my wedding and there are multiple photographers available http://www.imagesbyaugie.com/. Wedding wire has reviews of them.

    You can try our photographer, i don't know what she will quote you for 5 hours or if she is even available, but i've noticed that she's having special for 6 hours, may be she will give you a break. So far we've been happy and she's quick with response and pretty flexible.

    A friend of friend who is getting into the business took our engagement pictures and we loved her.  Her name is Elena Minton at elena@talkofthetown.com.  Just tell her you know Christy Meyer that you took the engagement pictures for. :)  Her prices will be in your budget for sure!

    We are using Celebrations of Tampa Bay as well. Tori is doing our engagement pics next month. I can't wait! It is very reasonably priced as well. The owner, Randy, is really great! If you're a teacher or military you get a 5% discount!

     I have used http://mandyblairphoto.com/ before and really liked her. I am not sure of all of her prices for wedding packages. She may be able to work with you. She is based out of Orlando and travels for weddings.
