Re: Good Evening!

  • Pretty good! FI and I are just hanging out, trying to relax amongst the craziness of the week, and my FI is trying on his new Tim Tebow jersey he got in the mail.

The earrings I ordered off of ETSY for the wedding came in! I tried them on and cried haha... but I'm emotional lately ;)

    What are you up to??

  • Great! I am on my first vacation in exactly a year and it feels good not to be at work. I'm visiting my family in Virginia at the moment and then this weekend I'm going to California for a few days with my sister. We are seeing the ELLEN SHOW on Monday, which we are SO EXCITED about! The only downside is my FI is home in NJ because he has to work and I miss him. But it is nice to be home with my family!

jparli--Yay for the earrings coming! Post a pic :-)

  • jparli - Yay for the earrings!  I love them!
Shea - Enjoy that vacation time! lol
Court - I know the sick feeling, still on meds but the plan is to see if I can go back to work tomorrow..

FI picked up the CD of our engagement photos, so on Mixbook making the photobooks now for ourselves and both mothers :)
  • Britt--I don't know if you've used it before or not, but you'll have to tell us how you like Mixbook! I'm looking for a place to make a photo book of our engagement photos (which we have yet to take, just thinking ahead here haha) and there are just so many to choose from!

  • I've never used it before but I picked up some groupons figuring it was a good time to give it a try with Engagement photos... then if I like it I'll do the wedding albums there. Its really easy to use, once they come in I'll let you know what the quality is like :)
  • jpar - LOVE those earrings!

shea - yay for vaca! I'm jealous, I love Ellen, I think she's awesome. Have fun at the show!

court - so glad you're finally feeling better. it's scary when you're that sick :-(

FI is back at school now, so I basically just watched TV all night. Watched last week's and tonight's episodes of Modern Family - that show is HILARIOUS. I'm currently fuming over a $103 doctor's bill I received in the mail today from when I went back in November when I had a sinus infection. Other than that, it's pouring like crazy outside and I'm enjoying listening to it.

  • I definitely will never be able to wrap my head around paying medical costs like you guys do in the states
  • jparli - those earrings are gorgeous, love them. court - glad you're on the mend. My moh had a nasty case of pneumonia last year. It's rough. I just finished packing for my weekend trip to northern Maine. Mom and I leave tomorrow night. This will be the first time FI and I are apart in almost two years, since we bought the house. And he's sick. I feel bad leaving him but fmil promised to take good care of him til I get back. Have a good night everyone!

  • Britt - tell me about it :-/

    Sarah - have fun!

  • I just can't imagine having to pay that much! Down here I only pay the copay on the prescription, everything else is covered, and my copay is $5... so the idea of paying over $100 to me is crazy lol

I have travel insurance for when I'm in the states, and 2 years ago was in a car accident in Ohio. I was FLOORED seeing how much it would have cost me...
  • I only pay $13 a month for my health insurance (through work) and I have no co-pays, BUT the trade-off is a high deductable so I get bills like these. I try to avoid going to the doctor as much as possible now because of it.

  • Hello ladies!

jparli - those earrings are very pretty and they look great!

court-sorry to hear you have been sick.

You ladies going on vacation have fun. I have never been to Maine but someday I hope to get up that way.

My day was alright. I had a busy day at the office. Now I am trying to quickly finish up our save the dates and get them ordered. I keep changing my mind about sending save the dates but I decided September is busy and my friends brother just set their date and it so happens to be my wedding date so I thought I'll just send them. I am also working on the guest list. We have way too many people right now and I would love to get the guest list to 200. That being said I think we are going to eliminate children and who knows who else. Right now I am getting ready for the storm and kind of hoping for a snow day.

  • I hear you on the high cost of health care I spent 800 dollars just going to my regular doctor for 5 bladder infections last year.  I am scared to find out what my medical bills will be since I went to a walk in clinic on new years day and they took an xray of my chest to see if I had a kidney stone.  I have a 3,000 dollar deductible, so I pay everything in full until I hit 3,000 dollars.  I work for a tiny company, and my fiance works for a national company so he pays 5 dollars for prescriptions and 20 dollars to go visit a doctor, it's not fair that is why their are no longer any small business!

I have made several books using mixbook & I love them! Everything I ordered looked just like it previewed as & they sent the finished product way sooner then they said. Just double check everything before you submit & it should turn out great Smile
