  this definitely seems on the high end... but it also helps to know exactly what flowers you are using in each so that way it puts it into perspective. our centerpieces are all $65 each and they are roses, hydrangea, orchids and a few others.

  Always Floral (lower prices from the 2 I interviewed) and Laurel's Florals (a lot higher prices)
  
  I thought Always Floral was reasonable, but she was the 1st one I got a quote from since I heard great things about her and how reasonable her prices are... I thought Laurel's prices were outrageous!
  
  So are these 2 florist even in the ballpark?

  your prices are high because of your flower choice. honestly peonies, rannunculus, and orchids are going to be on the high end wherever you go.
  
  i don't say that to discourage you, i actually had very similar arrangements, you just have to factor in a higher cost when you want those particular flowers.

  it is defintely those type of of flowers you selected and the time of season you are getting married. Maybe you can ask some of the florist if there are some alternatives to get the similar look. Do you have a floral budget in mind? I think that's what you will be seeing as rates as you go to other florist just because the type of flowers.

  I agree its your flowers. Are you willing to change the flowers to stay within your budget? We are using Always Floral and she was the cheapest out of 6 that I called.
