Need Your Help/Advice!

Hi Ladies,
I am really torn on chair covers! I like the way the look but the are kind of expensive. It seems ridiculous to spend $150 on chair covers. So here is where I need your help. If you want to (and I would really appreciate it) could you watch this video and look and the part where the hotel has the black table linens with the chairs w/o chair covers and HONESTLY tell me if you think that it looks okay with them or if I need chair covers?

Thank you so much!!! Laughing

I think it looks fine without the chair covers. It's not as if they're horrible looking chairs. They're standard hotel conference chairs and I don't think anybody would think twice about you not having covers. I'm all for helping save the $150 :D

I agree with Desiree.  Seriously, if you can save some money, this is where I'd save it.

If they were a loud color that clashed with your wedding colors, I'd say do it. But they are a very neutral color, so they look fine.

Plus, IMO, chair covers are starting to look a little outdated. And definitely fussy.

If you can save the money I would.  If our package didn't include chair covers I would probably save the money and just go with the normal chairs.

Well I'm definitely in the minority because I say get them!   But no sashes--talk about outdated.

Our linen upgrade was $150 and I thought it was worth every penny.  It's not that much in the grand scheme of things.

I say skip them.   I was just about to agree with Stephie actually because I like they way they look, but then I remembered a really upscale wedding I went to this summer (after I began taking note of things for our wedding) and they didn' thave chair covers and it was beautiful.    I didn't even realize it until just now.

I don't think anyone notices the chairs unless you give them a reason to...

Posted by Tiffany618[/QUOTE]I totally agree with this.  I don't remember chairs.  At all.  Of the handful of weddings I've been to, I only remember the one that had the chair covers and they annoyed me to death.  They were too long and I was worried all night that I'd step on the bottom and fall.  I remember her table clothes were too long, too, so I was worried I'd step on the cloth and all the plates would come crashing down on me.
