Makeup Allergies

Hi ladies,
I am allergic to mascara and eye shadow makes my eyes water like crazy. Do any of you know any alternatives that give the same effect but won't kill my eyes? I was thinking about getting fake lashes instead of using mascara, but I'm not sure what I can do to keep the eye shadow out of my eyes.

Is it just the powder eyeshadow that you are allergic to? Maybe a cream eye shadow would work...it certainly wouldn't get in your eyes the same way a powder would. What ingredient specifically in these products are you allergic to? There are lots and lots of organic and chemical-free products out now that you could try.

Ditto Bimbi; I was going to suggest a cream shadow. I really like this one.

It's got a cream eyeshadow and a loose powder in one tube. So you wouldn't want to use the loose stuff but the cream is amazing and stays put for hours.

You could look at Benefit's cream shadow as well.

Bare Minerals just came out with some really nice cream eye shadows, and their stuff is all natural and doesn't have chemicals or preservatives.

The Body Shop Define & Lengthen mascara is really nice and is the only one I haven't found to irritate my eyes since I wear contacts. Their eye shadows are in powder form, but you can apply them wet too, maybe that would make a difference?

You could alwas try a organic store? I know a lot of time they have make up that is all natural.

And I LOVE bare minerals. I know its a little expensive to get a the starter kit, but it is the most wonderful make up that I have ever used. And it lasts super long.
