Santa Cruz Venues!!

Hi everyone,

I recently got engaged :) and am looking for some venue ideas in the Santa Cruz/Aptos area.  My FI and I love the beach and want to have a beach wedding. We are planning on having around 100 guest, with a casual simple wedding theme. Any idea would be very helpful.

THANKS!

I'm also planning a wedding in Santa Cruz/Aptos. I've had to do some extensive research because we are on a low budget, but I made lists of everyone we spoke with. We are budgeting for around 50 people.

    1. Seascape Resort: $10k +. Have a guest min of 50 people for small room. Includes room rental, food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, china, glass and silverware. Oceanfront.

    2. Kennolyn: $10k +. They have a guest minimum which differs depending on the day you hold the wedding. Includes room rental, food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, china, glass, silverware, heat lamps and umbrellas.

    3. Chaminade: I'm still waiting to hear back from them, but from their website I've estimated the cost at around $12k. Includes room rental, food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, china, glass silverware, votives event coordination, dance floor, cake, cake table, cake cutting, gift table, bartender fees, valet parking for guests, complimentary overnight stay for bride and groom. Oceanview.

    4. Hollins House: 10k+.  Includes room rental, food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, china, glass silverware, votives event coordination, dance floor, cake cutting. Oceanview.

    5. Dream Inn: Not sure about their weekend rates. Includes food, drinks, valet parking for wedding guests, dance floor, cake and gift table, event planning and coordination, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, votives, china, glass, and silverware. Oceanfront.

    6. Pacific Oaks Vineyard: $4500 weekend event fee, includes tables and chairs.

    7. Monarch Cove Inn: $2850 site rental fee, $2500 deposit. Only includes site, which is oceanview. 6 pm curfew.

    8. Vets Hall: Just got remodeled, looks really nice.

    9. Sand Rock Farm

    10. Bargetto Winery: $3000 rental fee that includes tables, chairs, umbrellas, patio heaters, staff and drink fee. 9 pm curfew.

    11. Shadowbrook: $2500 rental fee for non-exclusive use of the restaurant.

    12. Best Western Seacliff Inn

    13. De Laveaga Golf Course

    14. Seascape Golf Club: $5-8k. Includes room fee, tables, chairs, china, linens, napkins, cutlery, dance floor, food, and some drinks.

I lived in Santa Cruz for 6 years, so you be aware that a beach wedding( especially during the summer) can be 50 degrees and fogged in. Especially in Aptos. If you can head into the mountains, you should have nice weather.

I would recommend checking out some of the County Parks.

Highlands in Ben Lomond is gorgeous. It's inland, so it will be warmer. There's good parking and the rental fee is like $950, which includes many hours of use, a full kitchen, tables, chairs, dance area, bar, ceremony arch. I nearly almost had my wedding there. :)
