Gift for my sponsor

Hi Ladies,

With my confirmation process coming to an end, I feel like I should get a gift for my sponsor. She has given up a lot of her time to walk me through this process, and I feel like I should get her something.

She's middle aged, just became a Grandma, works as a nurse, is Filipino, and is a cradle Catholic. Any suggestions? I'd like to stay under $50 if possible. TIA!

Do you know what she likes? Hobbies/interests?

What about a restaurant gift card or a nice bottle of wine? You might also try stopping in your local Hallmark. They always have so many gifts for different occassions.

I don't really know of any hobbies, I know she works a lot, and spends most of her time with her new grandson, so that's it.

I was hoping for something more personal than a gift card...but I may not have much choice.

Are there any type of Catholic decorations we use around Easter? If there are, please excuse my ignorance. :)

In a lot of churches, there are Easter lilys.  I can't stand them so I'm happy that my chuch used hydangea plants.  They are beautiful !

LOL, I worded that wrong. I meant were there any Easter decorations that we use at home, so maybe I could get her one of those. A special wreath or something.

You could get a great hydrangea plant this time of year for about $50.  She'd be able to plant it later in her yard

I just wanted to add that many Asians including Philipinos prefer gift card or cash, of course within a meaningful card.  She may also prefer the same.

I got my sponsor a pair of earrings. I got it on the website www.catholiccompany.com. She's much younger, but it's a nice gift and a reminder of the time we spent together when she wears them.
