I got the JOB! FIIIINNNNNNNNAAAAALLLLLYY!

This week felt like a rollercoaster (if you're curious I'll explain), but I got the official offer and start on Tuesday! I head in tomorrow to get all my HR paperwork done and meet my new Supervisor. Hoping things go well and I love it!

Right now it feels great.

Well the rollercoaster went like this.

Originally applied for the position back in Oct. Didn't hear from them for months... Then randomly I found out they were backgrounding me, during the background they told me I was pegged for the M-F 0800-1700 shift. I got the written offer last week, H was adamant that I call and confirm the shift since they had a few open spots and had been very vague which one they wanted me for. Well, when I called to confirm the shift the offer was good for it was the 2300-0700 shift (overnights)- which bummed me out and H didn't want me to take it. Turns out HR confused me with another candidate (essentially giving another person the spot that was being held for me). The other person obviously loved the spot and wasn't willing to give it up for me. Don't blame them. Thankfully, they really liked me and wanted me so they found/made another position for me. Which means I'll be in a completely different department then I was interviewed for, so I don't know a whole lot about duties yet.

Oh wow! That makes sense, but I'm glad you didn't have to take the night shift or nothing. Sucks HR made that mistake, though better late than never!
