Outdoor Venue Ideas?

I am looking for an outdoor wedding venue in southern MD, the eastern shore, or somewhere around the DC metro area. We are expecting 100 guests and are trying to stay around 10k for venue/ceremony/reception (catering). I have looked at Kent Manor Inn (dont like), chesapeake bay beach club (dont like), Antrim 1844 (like- but too far away) & the River Plantation (LOVE but way too expensive). I am interested in seeing Oxon Hill Manor, but their availabilty for tours stinks. I also have a tour scheduled for Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick MD. Has anyone been to a wedding or know anything about either of the 2? What other suggestions do you have? We like the mansion idea.. but an outdoor ceremony is a must and the reception can be either outdoors or indoors. Thanks for any feedback you can provide!Smile

Have you tried checking out Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa; their quote was pretty decent when I went there, but I fell in loe with Chesapeake Bay Beach club (the one you hate LOL).  You might like the Resort & Spa they have a hotel right there so it is good for out of town guests; and your bridesmaids and family could choose to rent one of of those townhomes on the bay or a home at www.vrbo.com they have listings.  Hope this helps!

I was married at Gramercy Mansion .

There is also Swan Harbor, Liriodendron Mansion, Londontown Gardens. Those are some I could think of off the top of my head.

Hi there!  My husband and I are a wedding photography team in harford county -- here are a few suggestions!

    Woodlawn Farm - really beautiful!

The Inn at Brookeville Farms -- this is actually where my husband and I got married and we loved it!

Also check out http://www.unitedwithlove.com -- they have a long list of venues to check out :)

    Good luck!

My name is Matthew and I handle all of the wedding sales for The Elkridge Furnace Inn.

From your post, we are not really in the exact area you are looking for, however we have a beautiful outdoor ceremony point and can work within your target price range.

I will make myself available for a tour anytime you'd like, any day of the week, 24/7. Please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email...I am always happy to assist. matthew@elkridgefurnaceinn.com, 410.379.9336.

    Cheers!
