SF area flowers on a budget

I'm looking for an inexpensive florist in the SF area. We're doing non-floral centerpieces/decorations, so I just need bridal party stuff. My budget is tight, I'm trying to keep it under $500. I've been e-mailing around and most people are out of my price range. I found one woman who said she could help me as long as we stuck ot in season stuff (totally fine), and I shleped an hour out of the city to meet with her, then her proposal was over $800! At this point I'm almost ready to go the Sam's Club rout, but I'd rather have an individual contact person to deal with. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you tried Whole Foods? The one here in NY does flowers at cost + 20% labor fee, and you get the name of one person in the floral department as your key contact.

HI,
If you know anyone close to Sacramento to pick up the flowers...I could definatly do the flowers for $500 or less....I guest it depends on how many bouquets you want, the time of year, and the flowers you want.
Everything that I do is based soley on the flowers and time of year. Most of my bridal bouquets are $75-100, Bridesmaids $40-60, grooms bout free, other bouts $8-10, corsages $15-22 depending on size and flowers.

For my first wedding I used Anne Mendenhall. She does it from her home and her stuff is absolutely beautiful. My budget was $600 and she made it happen. I got 3 bouquets, 5 boutonniers, cake flowers, flowers on the main table and tons of petals on the aisle and other tables.
