Outdoor wedding menu

Hi my FH and I are getting married June 16th, 2012. We are having an outdoor wedding and I am having a hard time coming up with a menu. I want something more than just a back yard barbeque but nothing too fancy. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Are you making it yourself? Hiring a caterer?  Obviously that can affect what's doable and what I'd suggest.

I'm doing something similar. We are having sandwiches, but nicer than just subs. People can choose between an Italian cold cut sandwich, a chicken caesar sandwich, or a veggie option with avocado, tomatoes, and mozzarella. It's an outdoor lunch, so I think sandwiches are appropriate, but the set up and presentation are going to be a little bit nicer to make it less casual.

Thanks all. It's going to be catered, but the caterer told us to come up with the menu. Thanks for the ideas. Much appreciated!!

Pick foods you and your guests will like - just because you're outdoors doesn't mean it has to be casual or BBQ or whatever. We had prime rib, grilled salmon, grilled veggie kabobs, basil butter mashed potatoes, spinach salad with bacon, dinner rolls, and assorted fresh fruit.
