MOB/MOG gifts

I'm trying to find really sweet gifts for my mom and my FMIL without spending a ton of money. Any suggestions of really sweet, yet cost effective gifts?

Thanks:)

I didn't get them anything. I really didn't think about it.

James Avery has charms and charm bracelets that are not too expensive if you get sterling silver. You could start with the bracelet and get each a charm. Then for holidays and special occasions you could add to the bracelets. They even have a silver loop bracelet that you could wear as many or as little charms at a time as you like. My mother has one and she changes out her charms depending on the holiday/time of year.

I gave each parent embroidered handkerchiefs with MOB/MOG/FOB/FOG and the wedding date on it.  Everyone loved theirs!  I was originally looking at designs on etsy, but it was much cheaper to buy the handkerchiefs myself and have them embroidered locally.

I considered hankies (but they weren't my mom's style) and a charm (my mom has a charm bracelet, but hasn't even looked at it in the last 10 years).

I also considered a night's getaway at a local hotel/B&B for my parents (and a night out at a fancy restaurant DH's parents love).

In the end, I got a thoughtful, heartfelt thank-you card for my mom ... then forgot to give it to her in all the craziness of the wedding day. Oops. It's still in my living room because I don't want to just throw it away, but it's kinda lost it's meaning by now.

Maybe after the event you can get her an engraved photo frame with a picture from the wedding as a thank you with a card. That's what I'm planning to do.

Or if you want something sweet, maybe a box of yummy chocolates or cupcakes!

I am getting my parents a weekend stay at a Bed and Breakfast ( since they are paying for the wedding) and my FMIL a hankie or something small.

I'm giving my parents an album-they will pick out pictures that they like and want. I am giving them a DVD of the wedding as well, plus a gift card to a restraunt somewhere. FI's grandmother will get the same, maybe not the restraunt. Since FI's aunt and uncle have been AMAZING and acted like parents, we will also be giving them a copy of the DVD plus a restraunt g/c and a framed picture, or a few and we'll get it framed for them. Just depends...

Look on Etsy for ideas; that is where I found the lady that made the jewelry I gave my mom and FMIL for a very reasonable rate.  There are multiple handkerchiefs and other ideas on Etsy if you just type in mother of bride gifts.
I got them a necklace/earring set that would match their wedding attire.  Her shop is bluelovebirds on Etsy.  The link to the jewelry she made for me is http://www.flickr.com/photos/stacysdesigns88/5813326456/in/photostream. She also makes jewelry for bridal parties that are matching.

I'm getting my mom a personalized blanket/throw.  It's cold up here in the north and I know she'll use and like it.  I found one I like on Etsy.  Here is the link:http://www.etsy.com/shop/CoutureWeddingHankie
