Staten Island Italian restaurants for Bridal Shower?? Help, I'm lost...

Hi Knotties -
I'm the Matron of Honor to my sister who is getting married in May 2011.   I am about to start planning her Bridal Shower and am looking for venues in Staten Island that are italian, nice, not a hole in the wall place yet not crazy expensive!

I prefer reference because I have not eaten at any restaurants in S.I. and have no idea where to start - where to look!

Please offer your sage advice!  Would appreciate it..I need to start looking asap.

I just attended a bridal shower at Nucci's in Staten Island. The food was really good but I have no idea about the price.
I've also visited the Old Bermuda Inn when checking out reception sites and it looked like a nice family place. I heard the food is good and they have bridal showers there as well.

ive heard old bermuda in is expensive in pricing.  There is a  little italian restuarant called Gusto's on Richmond Rd.  I have eaten there before (no special event just out to eat) and the food is good and the prices were very reasonable. Call and see what he offers you.

Does it matter where on the island?  My bridal shower was at DaNoi and I loved it. http://danoirestaurant.com/

I also just went to a baby shower at Nino's and I was really impressed.  http://www.yelp.com/biz/ninos-restaurant-staten-island

Not italian (spanish), but I love Carmen's.  You might want to look into that as well.

    Good luck!

Angelinas is amazing!! the food is incredible, and its just beautiful there...its right on the water, and if you get the room on the 2nd floor, you will also have the outdoor balcony...
their regular menu is a little pricey, but their catering isnt too bad-plus they are flexible.

They're in tottenville on Ellis Street
