I confess that something that happened last week at my new second job has really been bothering me.

I've only been working at this place for 2 weeks and already I've been filled in on all the work gossip, lol. But with that, my assistant manager and another coworker were badmouthing at length another coworker of mine who I've only met in passing and have yet to actually work with. The stuff they were saying about her was pretty bad if it's all true. It was all happening when at least one customer was in the store, which I think is bad in itself. Also, my location has really earned a reputation of bad customer service and having big issues with shoplifting-this behavior proves why it's the case.. I've also always been a believer that if somebody's super comfortable with gossiping at length about other people in front of you, they'll for sure gossip about you behind your back. I'm not one to get into drama, but it's really been bugging me. I certainly don't think I'm in a position to report it being the new girl and all.

This is one of the things I hated the most about working retail.  Everyone was out to get everyone else and it was SO stressful.  Sorry that your store is known for bad customer service, but with people acting like that, I can see why.  I say (if you're going to be there a while) stick around a few more weeks and really get the feel of things before you say anything.  Sorry to say it, but you don't want to make enemies right away.  It'll just make you despise your job.  Even though I've been out of retail for a year and a half, I still avoid my old store when I see a couple of my former managers because it just gets super uncomfortable if I walk in there.

I confess that I have a test in 7 hours that I'm only about half ready for, and I really don't want to study all day.  So I'm going to play online for another hour, then get to studying.

Oh yeah I definitely know why my store's known for bad customer service, even when I was reinterviewed (the GM at my location is brand spanking new, so I had a second interview with a GM from a different location) the other GM had said that my location had 'nowhere to go but up' for many reasons. It's basically considered the red-headed stepchild so to speak. Thankfully I live near 2 other locations, so if I really wanted to switch I could.

I confess that I am incredibly tired of my career (it's something I ended up in accidentally, and 3 jobs later, haven't been able to veer away from) and every day, I daydream of ways to get out. At least once a week I come up with another idea (become a bartender and go back to grad school, open a dogwalking business, get a retail job and start spending more time writing and trying to get published, etc...)

I also confess (don't kill me for saying this on the boards) that a huge part of me wants to go into the wedding biz, but I have no idea how to effectively break into it.

All in all, I hate recessions. How am I supposed to transition into a new career when every job has dozens of more-directly-qualified people applying to it at any given time?

    Grr.

I confess that I wish I just lived with FI. Both of us are ready for it and we just can't wait to graduate! I also confess that I really hope I find a job within my major before I graduate so that I don't have such a stressful time once I do graduate, and then get married 2 weeks later.

Ditto this!  I feel the same way, but have NO IDEA where to start, or if it would even work out, what with the economy & all.

I confess that I need to get my butt in gear & get back to the gym.  Since the wedding, I feel like I've just lost all self control in my eating & work out habits.  Time to get back on track, because I want to live a more healthy lifestyle & be ready for when H & I start TTC!  = )

I confess I have some nerves every morning and it sucks :) I need to clean my place up a bit today and wish someone would just do it for me!! I hate having company over/leaving for vacation when it isn't clean though.

I also confess that while I got on FI's back to notify all his people when the rehearsal /rehearsal dinner are, I failed to do the same. haha! I had a BM ask me just this morning! I should have sent out an email about it.

I confess that I am really sick of being so busy this year. I cannot wait to be done being on the executive board for my sorority and I cannot wait to be done with school. I hate having the longest to do lists and being stressed out so much. :/

I confess I am having the WORST case of procrastination since starting my grad program.  Everything seems way more interesting than research and writing my paper, and I find myself following different links through the internet that seem interesting.  And though I know it's 100% my own fault, I blame being able to browse houses online and TK Tongue out
"What do you want to be married to me for, anyhow?"
