birdcage or cathedral veil

I originally wanted to go with a cathedral length veil with my dress but I'm really liking the birdcage veils. Do you think a cathedral or birdcage veil would look better with my dress?

IMO I would choose a cathedral, only a select few can pull of the bird cage - but of course I'd have to see you to know if you could do so. But the material looks more traditional with the lace look.

I agree w/ Stacks. I think of a birdcage veil as being more of a "retro" look. The lace says traditional to me.

I love cathedral veils, and the one thing I regret from my own wedding is not having a longer veil. I love how elegant they look, and they make for awesome pics.

Cathedral, your dress looks very nice and regal, birdcage would be more retro/vintage. If you were going with a short sheath, maybe-- but then your hair and face come into play-- and some people can't pull off a birdcage-- no matter what the dress-- myself include

I really want to say birdcage becuase that's what I'm doing (I hope I'm one of the ones that can pull it off

) but I think a cathedral veil would look stunning with your dress!! They're so dramatic too - I've seen a few recent pictures from our photographer with brides in cathedral veils and they are breathtaking!
