What kind of stuff do we have to get for the regisrty... I am so confused. I am not sure what to put on the list

I think we're going to use the same registry for the wedding and bridal shower. I'd start by going through our house and see what you want to replace and what you need a make a list. We registered at Macy's and they give you a list of recommended items to put on your registry. We used that to compare to the things we knew we wanted to add and then went to town!

I'd look online for registry checklists (Bed, Bath and Beyond has one) to see what you might be in need of.

We're just going to do one registry (well, 3 stores) for everything. People will buy you what they see fit to buy or give you money whether at the shower(s) or wedding. I'd be wary of checklists, though. You don't need everything on there and sometimes you need different things. I'd scope out some lists for ideas, but umltimately do what jparli suggested: Got through each room with a pen and paper and write down what you guys could use. (Our kitchen section is the longest by far! lol). But also keep it in a handy place because every once and awhile, you'll be like "Man, I wish we had a garlic crusher." And you could write it down.

It really depends what you need. I looked at the lists on bed bath and beyond but those are really long-winded. I basically walked through the store and looked at everything and just put on there things we needed and tried to stray from things that are nice but we'd barely use. It was a little easier than expected, thankfully.

My sister is throwing me 2 bridal showers: 1 is a Pampered Chef party so that's where the registry will be (I bake and cook a lot

, and no.2 is a honeymoon party so I have set up a honeymoon registry (ehoneymoon.com).

We are having a crystal themed shower and people can just buy one highball glass or wine glass or whatever. We live together and there are very few things that I would actually want to replace and this is a great way for us to slowly get our crystal. We also plan on registering for a much less expensive crystal pattern so we can use them more often not just special occasions.

We just have one registry going at one store, with a wide variety of items, price points, etc.

I think we plan on registering at either Kohls or Bed Bath and Beyond. FI and I plan on going through the house and looking for things we need to replace. I know we pretty much need everything new in the kitchen. I think we are also going to register at Menards for home improvement stuff. We have decided to finish the basement and update the kitchen rather than sell the house. As far as I know the bridal registry is the same as what you have for the wedding.

On a different note, how expensive do you think the max for a gift should be? I know you are supposed to register for a variety of things and prices so there is stuff to fit everyone's budget.

Some of the items on my registry: Luggage, pots&pans, knife set, sheets, a new quilt, towels. I have items ranging from $7.99 (measuring cups) - $299.00 (kitchen aid mixer).

It is good to have items in a range of different price points. For items with a higher price tag, some of the guests may go in on it together.

Amazon allows you to view their most popular registry items and also search the registries of other couples in your region or those getting married the same month as you. It's a good way to find ideas!

Thank you girls... I didnt know there was such thing has bridal regisrty til yesterday.. those are good ideas b.c FI and I dont own a home but after the wedding we are going to start to look so I guess we need everything
