Gifts?

Who all is everyone getting gifts for?  Do you get your parents gifts if they are not helping with the wedding?  What about stepparents and grandparents?  I'm pretty sure i'm giving my grandmother a gift (she paid for most of my dress) and my parents but i wasn't sure about stepparents and if i give my grandmother a gift if i should make him get his grandmother a gift?

    I would definitely give gifts to you parents. It is more of a thanks for raising me and getting me to this point than related to the wedding. Stepparents depends a bit on you relationship. If I were you I would get each parental couple a gift. I will give my grandmother a gift if she is able to come, but she is the only grandparent still alive on either side. If you want more responses you might ask this on etiquette or the gifts page.

    Im giving a gift to all parents. I can't see only doing for one and not the other. I haven't decided what I'm doing for the moms yet.

    Parents and grandparents for us are 12 people.. I am not going to get them a gift at the wedding, but I will be buying them photos afterwards. Prints for some people and books for others.. This probably doesn't help you, I honestly don't know how I would pick a gift for everyone..

    My mom & step dad- getting them a gift together. A nice bottle of wine, some cheese, and a gift card for them to go out to dinner together. My dad & stepmom-gift card for dinner & movie passes. FI's parents- we have no idea yet. probably a dinner gift card and some candles. In addition to those gifts, we are making engagement pic albums on shutterfly, and giving them to our parents.

    I am getting both sets of my parents a gift and FI's parents i am not getting grandparents a gift but after the wedding every grandparent parent and for me great grandparent will get an 8 by 10 of our family. We already have 2 kids plus my soon to be stepson
