XP: Invitations. Done!

Invitations.  Done.  Ordered.  We should have a proof in-hand no later than Wednesday.   Ta da!

And ... even though FI and I had agreed to cutting back (going with thermography instead of letterpress) due to budget, he surprised me by nonchalantly mentioning to the salesperson, "Oh, yes ... let's get the letterpress!"  Amazing man.  What a sweet surprise!

So now, its official, I've spent more on my invitations (feeding that letterpress lust!) than on my dress (which was SUPER cheap, less expensive than my shoes BTW) ... ROTF LMAO!

We ended up not going with the inspiration invitations, but rather this:
http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/personalized/W157-2011043208301/detail.html.  FI couldn't wrap his head around online ordering, so we had to change vendors to a brick and mortar store.

Congrat!  After I got my invites, it suddenly all felt so real!  Your invites are lovely, and I agree with PP--post a pic of them when you get them in your hand!

I love thinking about how it makes NO sense what costs what!  My postage is going to cost more than my invitation materials totaled... lol :)

[QUOTE]Nice! The marquis scroll is so pretty and classic!

Thanks, all!  We both like the classic look of that motif.  It gives our guests a taste of the historic setting.  And the design is a step beyond the strict, traditional invitation look without pushing toward contemporary.  Yay!
