Caterers: Who are you using?

Who are you guys using? I'm going to an appointment tomorrow and Thursday with a few: Bold American, Talk of the Town, Affairs to Remember, Avenue Catering, and Sun in My Belly. Yes, I know... I still haven't booked a caterer yet...

I am going for a tasting at Mother's Finest catering tomorrow.  Their prices are awesome.  I'll let you know how the food is after the tasting.

I'll be using Talk of The Town, we are getting married at Big Canoe so thats who we have to use.. But luckily where my aunt works they have used them many times, and her boss has also used them to cater personal events.. She said nothing but good stuff about them, plus their prices are pretty good.. We don't go for our testing though until May.

I'm going to that meeting at 11 am tomorrow. I'm anxious to see what they have to offer. I liked their website.

There are reviews for badda bing on Yelp.

    http://www.yelp.com/biz/badda-bing-decatur

One of the reviews suggests there is a minimum for smaller parties, so this would not work for me.. I'm not paying 100 a person just to satisfy a min.

I am using Delightful Biteful Catering (who run Hollycrest Hall and DeVore House), our tasting was SO good and their prices are very good. They are more 'comfort food' and familiar stuff than a lot of other places I looked into

hmmm...Talk of the Town lady was a little pushy, plus she had some of her information wrong. I thought I clearly mentioned my date and where we were getting married. When I went to the appointment she thought my date was next year. Then after the meeting, I got an email stressing the importance of booking my venue...how I shouldn't have waited until 3 months before my wedding...how she'd have to "throw it together". First of all, we booked our venue like close to a year ago. The contract seemed a little wishy washy. Everything wasn't layed out in a clearly understandable manner. Maybe I'm just nit picking since I need to make a decision. Still waiting on a proposal from Affairs to Remember. So far Bold American is looking pretty good. I don't know...

If you don't mind me asking who did you talk with? I'm kind of nervous about going in for my tasting now because we aren't having a big elaborate affair & aren't planning on spending a ton of $.. We can't use anyone but them though because its part of the deal with the ceremony site.
