So my shower was this past Saturday and FMIL mentioned that we were at the 2 month mark so we needed to go to dinner soon so that she could give us our wedding present (money we already know about it.) She has been mentioning this a lot the past few weeks. So the other night I made FI call her and set up a time and place to go for tonight.
She got so mad and said I was trying to rush her and how this could wait till next month but I was being greedy. FI politely told her how she was the one who kept telling us we needed to go and plus the next couple of weeks were crazy for me and him and our schedules were going to be very different from hers from now until the wedding.
She finally calmed down but now I am not looking forward to dinner with her tonight. I love her to death and I am excited about the gift and think it is wonderful she wants to give us something towards to honeymoon and possibly after. But this was her idea and she knew our schedules were starting to get crazy. I told her weeks ago that the whole month before the wedding was booked. And she understood I was super busy. So why she doesn't get it now I don't understand.
